Hello Readers,
In the title, I ask you the same question the leadership of ebbf.org (ethical business building the future) asked of us for the October Impact Retreat. “Reflect deeply on what the world is asking of us, and what we are able to offer when we act from clarity, community, and courage.”
✨There are some experiences and groups of people that are so impactful, energizing, inspiring — that you know you are being transformed & will think back to these days. This was one of those times and groups for me.

🪴Acuto 2025 Impact Retreat 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐞! 🙏🏼 50 of the most inspiring business folks from around the world, gathered in one beautiful place; from 20–85 years young, active thinker-doers across industries, creative, and fun(!) folks; 𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐜-𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐚𝐬 𝐢𝐭 𝐢𝐬, 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬. To support connecting to our clarity, community, and courage (and avoid burnout in this tumultuous time), I offer these related workshops, coaching services, and posts.
✨ My 25 article series on societal & business trends and how to incorporate systems thinking & sustainability for greater business success in this fast changing, highly competitive world — available here (scroll down to 2023 CS/R-ESG articles). OR, the two-minute, updated & punchy article snippets, #CultureOfPurpose, I’ve been posting on my LinkedIn — follow along here (😉friends links to full articles are included).
✨One of the coaching modalities I use and find especially impactful is mental fitness, aka Positive Intelligence — helping people understand their-own and others’ strengths and automatic thought patterns, and techniques for shifting from “saboteur” mode to “sage” mode. This gradually and quite literally, reprograms our neural pathways. It’s great for teams and families, or for leaders who want to be their self-aware best (with statistics to show marked improvement in wellness, performance, and relationships). You can read more here.
➡️Check out a free test here — I’m happy to tell you more, explain the results (reserve a time here), or let you simply explore — no pressure.

Sunrise, a moment of peace. The mist is lifting. We have an opportunity to design a day with more hope, clarity, positive impact — one step at a time, and with a community of other caring, long-term, systems thinker-doers
This program & circle is based on my last 12 or so years of research, cross-sector client work, facilitation and coaching. It blends business and societal trends insights, with reflection and action; and it is designed to support the systemic thinking and inspiring leadership of people like you. It helps us reconnect to what matters, and take meaningful next steps.
📈A few related statistics c/o Porter Novelli’s Sustainable Brands study, October 2025:
🔹 86% of consumers now say companies have a responsibility to deliver a purpose beyond profit — up from 76% last year
🔹 80% say companies should run programs that benefit society — up from 75%.
And something I’ve shared before.
🔹 Purpose-driven companies see 4x employee engagement (McKinsey).
🔹 Highly engaged teams generate 23% higher profitability (Gallup 2025).
In short: Purpose isn’t a nice-to-have — it’s motivating, and it’s your edge in a fast-changing market.
Thanks for reading and sharing.
With warmth and purpose,
Rachel
