This video is longer than my normal — it’s been a month since I last wrote, and a lot has happened; so there is a lot to say! I share New year wishes, reflections on new years resolutions and on Martin Luther King day and his impact. Then, I address my own dream of helping small and medium sized businesses succeed by becoming trusted and inspiring (becoming part of the solution to local and global issues and honest communicators;engendering broader based trust and engagement in turbulent markets). We’re making efforts to i) address the 4 main challenges to becoming inspiring and trusted (will, confusion, overwhelm, & consistency), and ii) help leaders become their best selves, so their teams are engaged and productive, and they can leave a positive legacy.

January 15 was Martin Luther King Jr. day in the USA, and I reference his impact, many letters and speeches and this most famous one “I have a dream”. The link goes to the full speech — the first six minutes are the most shared and recognized portion.

We do better when we are inspired and feel connected to each other, and something greater than ourselves. The holidays gave us a glimpse of people slowing down and being kinder to each other. There’s something to be learned for the rest of the year.

📈For my business leaders, here’s something else to think about in reflecting on your past year, and the success you want to build in 2024 and beyond….

To succeed in a fast changing, full-of-challenges, 🌪️and social-media infused world, a business needs to navigate complexity, the leaders need to stay cool-headed and human, and both need to engender trust.

I focused for years on the analytics and processes, and they are important, yet humans are head, plus heart & “gut” beings. And, if we’re honest, we actually make most of our decisions with our gut and heart, then justify it with the data (ie the head).
