Hello Readers and Happy Earth Month!
I hope you get some time to be outside, or to interact with nature this week (and most days; have you heard of shinrin-yoku?). It’s soothing to the spirit, and helps reconnect us to a perspective of the broader world, the ecosystem we are part of.
In this RP on Resilience — Earth Month edition- I’m sharing several resources, including a few practical ways to make a difference, to continue increasing your positive impact in this fast changing world. More specifically
- 🌐Check out this article (8min) on how to know if a company is doing good, and what can an individual do? This is my free, friends’ link.
- 👨🏻💼👩🏻💼An opportunity to learn how to tap into your own inner sage, to maximize and sustain your positive impact.
- 🤩suggestions of a few empowering people to follow and learn from- all very digestible, inspiring, and actionable.
- 🙏🏼two quick questions or favors I ask of you. None of us, as individuals or companies, can do it alone. We’re only as strong as our partnerships, collaboration and network. So, I thank you, in advance, for any sharing/suggestions you might do.
- ✅ Our trusted resources for your broader resilience
- 🎉My news🏅I’m now designated a top voice on LinkedIn for facilitation! I even get a little gold badge on my profile 😊

There are people doing extraordinary, creative and impactful things. These are the things to pay attention to, lift up and support. And take us from 😞 to 😊
IG: @Garybencheghib and team have cleaned up 2MM kg of trash, and upcycled 3000kg of plastic into chairs for sale… to fund their clean up efforts. Check out the 2 minute video.
IG: @swaythefuture uses seaweed to create sustainable, biodegradable plastic film alternatives, so we avoid making more of the micro-plastics polluting the eco-system, and killing animal life. See The Guardian’s video summary
IG: @itsthegarbagequeen keeps us informed of good climate news (keeping hope alive, so we can keep going and make the changes!) and informs us in ways that help us take easy actions to improve our impact. Here’s a recent edition of Good Climate News. And I recommend checking out her earth day phone call from “mom” as well (humorous and empowering).
Mexican company, Biofase, based in Monterey, turns avocado pit waste into bio-plastics — single use “plastic” utensils and straws that are completely bio-degradable! (Thanks @fernandacortesx for highlighting this)
These are just a few of the many examples; and there are a few more (“leather” from banana leaves?!?) in the article link I shared up top. I regularly post some of these great stories on my own instagram @rachelepatter or @e2resilience. So check them out when you’re ready for a few minutes break.

My Requests of you 🙏🏼
❓ Do YOU have grant or sponsor suggestions (& leads)? I self-funded my 25-article series (the links I’ve been sharing in these newsletters), and will soon interview 40–50 CxOs and ESG/CS/CSR/DEI professionals and create the final 5 or 6 articles. I think sponsorships/grants amounting to $30k should suffice (and credit will be given).I appreciate any suggestions and introductions.
❓Do you know someone who would like to join a small group of leaders (confidentiality, respectful, and fun driven) to understand and upgrade our default habits, interactions, and problem solving? to gain perspective and resilience in this fast-changing world? Forward this newsletter. Program starts April 29, and you/they can

So, friends and colleagues, last month’s newsletter was on resilience offered by widening our perspective, and I shared a video about the importance of bringing some play into our big, serious goals. We’re all smart and bringing some lightness of spirit helps with connection, curiosity, and enduring focus & flow. And that includes how we shift habits, and incorporate our earth-protecting and repair efforts.
I hope you find the resources both helpful and enjoyable, and that you are having a joyful, reflective Earth month! I look forward to hearing your stories, and to crossing paths.
Thanks for reading.
Rachel
