Hello Readers and happy Spring 🪻🌼🐦

The longer, sunnier days, as well as the flowers & budding trees, are energizing and hope-instilling. Last week’s heavy rains and earthquake in the US-NE, and this week’s eclipse may have been jarring for some, exciting for others, but we definitely have multiple reminders to respect Mother Nature, enjoy the moments, and to stay resilient.

So, for many reasons, it’s a great time to contemplate broadening and refreshing our perspective! Below are a few, fun resources for just that.

The extra short version of the refreshing our perspectives newsletter? 😉
Something personal, something business, something planetary + an opportunity to appreciate & integrate it all even more.

So much to say this time! So, we’ll bring back our trusted-resources section next newsletter, for Earth Day. But, if you’re interested in having your hands on it now, drop us a line, and we’ll forward you the brief list of recommended colleagues & fun, free, learn-more resouces.

Moments of play are absolutely necessary for sustained focus and achieving our goals. NB: If you watch the video on youtube.com, you can see the subtitles.

Since action is the antidote to despair, and/or confusion… sometimes the best way to gain perspective and unlock our creativity and resilience, is to take a “side step” that gets us out of our heads, and into our bodies… and a spirit of play.

Our team interactions and productivity will be much better when we’re taking the goals, and not ourselves, seriously. We’re all smart and trained, so bringing back some lightness helps with connection and curiosity, enabling flow and focus. And that is especially important when we want to maintain energy toward big goals. So, 👑channel your inner king or queen, and grant yourself permission to play, to enjoy and excel in your initiatives, big and small!

I could talk about this for hours, and bring in neuroscience, and stories… or just have you watch the video, experience it and feel the difference!

Something business… we all know how much we learn from our smart friends, and the perspective and resilience they offer us. The same goes for business. Here’s a friends link to my article on some of the insights and tools business can borrow from the military, education, community development, and public health sectors. They’re especially helpful when pondering complex situations and rolling out to new markets.

Something planetary… Monday’s solar eclipse was one of those rare chances to feel connected to planetary movements. It was fascinating, and an awe-inspiring and comforting reminder that we are a small part in a giant system. It puts our ego, challenges, actions to take, etc in perspective witnessing these bodies’ movements. We see things get dark, then brighten again.
